When I was 10, my dad taught me how to shoot with old Russian film cameras, and I still remember the magic of images coming to life on photo paper in his tiny darkroom. But my passion for photography really started with the birth of my oldest daughter 7 years ago. I wanted to bottle up every ounce of love that my husband and I felt for her, so that I could remember and treasure those feelings and moments forever - and that's when I started taking lots and lots of pictures!
I love looking back at the photos I've been taking of my own family, and every single time I get flooded with memories and emotions, and so grateful to have those images! Those are my most treasured possessions!
Having a Master's Degree in Journalism, I love bringing a photo-journalistic approach to how I shoot. You will never catch me forcing you and your kids into stiff poses! Instead I encourage my clients to let loose, relax, and have fun at their session, and treat it like a fun family outing. My passion is capturing families just being themselves - loving, laughing, playing, and having fun!
My goal is to give you images that are real and filled with emotion, just as I want for my own family. I want to capture those breathtaking moments of pure love that you feel for your children today, and that you will want to remember when your kids are all grown, and these days are long gone.
